Who Am I?

 

I developed an interest in the martial arts since age 8 when my father took me and my brother to Judo classes.

Later on I studied Karate and then Tae Kwon Do. I was 19 years old when I first discovered Wing Chun. Since finding Wing Chun I studied other styles: Aikido, Iaido, Ninjitsu and some Kali/Escrima.

I stuck with Wing Chun though for many years (over 20), eventually opening my my own school, checkout the website here.

Since opening my own Wing Chun school in 2010 I’ve continued to use new strategies to help me to teach more effectively. Part of this was building an email course to help my students learn the basic forms when they were at home.

On a Hong Kong Trip with Sifu Ward

 

 

With Sifu Colin Ward who was my instructor for several years. I’ll always be grateful for his teachings which he passed down from Segung (Grandmaster)  Ip Chun and his many journeys to Hong Kong to learn with him personally over a number of years. 

In March 2020 classes were closed by the government due to Covid and I started teaching online live classes to offer something for my students.
